Welcome to the Eastern Ohio Health Information Management Association (EOHIMA) website. The purpose of EOHIMA is to provide a means for intercommunication of ideas among persons engaged in occupations and education related to health information services, and to discuss and develop methods of promoting increased quality and efficiency of these services with the overall goal resulting in the highest quality patient care delivery.

You should have noticed our website has undergone some changes as well as the OHIMA website. Check them both out. We hope these sites are easier for you to navigate through and give you lots of information!
Along with the website changes, there are many changes facing us in our profession this year, especially in the coding arena, with the implementation of POA, MS-DRGs and MA Risk adjustment. Join us at our fall symposium for a look at a few of these.
We also have planned two other meetings, one during HIT week in November, as well as our spring Symposium, so we will have a busy year! But these meetings don’t get planned without input and help from volunteers. We are still in need of volunteers for next year’s board to keep EOHIMA a viable regional association. In the spring, voting will begin for next year’s board. Please consider volunteering on our board so we can continue to offer quality CE’s to our membership and foster interest to students.
