How To Achieve Gout Relief?

Gout can be very painful and even debilitating. It is caused by too much uric acids in the body. There are many reasons why excess uric acid may build up, but one reason is eating a diet high in purine. Consuming too many foods high in purine can cause the body to metabolize it into uric acids. This can lead to painful gout. Gout relief can be achieved by changing your diet to reduce purine. It is important to note that the body can handle certain levels of urinary acid. The kidneys have one responsibility: to eliminate uric acids. If the body is out-of-balance and the uric acid levels are too high, the body cannot eliminate them. Instead, the body forms uric acid crystals.

Uric Acid Crystals

These deposits are found in the joints and can cause swelling, stiffness, and pain. In severe cases, the pain may be unbearable. Gout relief can be achieved by eating a low-purine diet. This will result in lower levels in uric acid in the body. Limit your alcohol intake. Gout flare-ups can be caused by alcohol consumption. Drinking enough water daily will help reduce the amount of uric acid in your body. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. A diet high in carbohydrates and low levels of protein and fat is the best.

Gout flare-ups can be caused by diets high in seafood and meat. Include foods that are low in purine, such as fruits, vegetables and cereals, milk, cheese, milk, and white bread. Limit your intake of purine-rich foods like meat extracts, meat and shellfish gravies. Gout relief can also be achieved using other methods.  Alternating hot and cold compresses can help reduce pain.

Epsom Salts

You can get relief by soaking the affected area in hot water for a couple of minutes, then cooling it with cold water several times. A foot soak in Epsom salts can be used to relieve painful gout. In a saucepan of hot water, place a few tablespoons Epsom salts. For about 30 minutes, soak the affected foot in hot water. You can also take an Epsom salt bath if gout is affecting other parts of your body. You should use approximately one cup of Epsom Salts when you place the product in hot water.
