How to get effective Gout Toe Relief?

Since the time of the Egyptians, acute gout attacks have been a constant occurrence in victims. Gout was first recorded in 2600 BC. Gout can cause severe pain and can make it difficult to live a normal life. Gout attacks are most common at night, when people are trying to sleep. Gouty arthritis is characterized by acute attacks of gouttoe, which can cause severe pain and a burning sensation in the feet. Acidemia (low blood pH) increases the chance that blood uric acid crystallizes, forming sharp needle-shaped crystals. These crystals of uric acid can collect in and around cartilage and joints.

Toe Pain

Gout toe is thought to be the first to be affected by the cooler temperatures in our extremities. Because the toes are farthest from the warm core temperature of the body, cooler temperatures encourage uric acid crystal formation. Gout attacks can last from one to two weeks, depending on how severe they are. These home remedies are tried and true and are still very effective in the search for gout relief. Ibuprofen can be used to relieve symptoms like inflammation, swelling, stiffness, joint pain, and stiffness. This medicine cannot cure gout and is only effective if used regularly.

You may be familiar with ibuprofen by the following names: Advil, Addaprin and Midol, Motrin Bufen, Nuprin, and Midol. Warning: Although studies on the effects of aspirin on gout attacks are not recommended, these findings are not conclusive. Aspirin has been shown to increase blood uric acids by low dosages, while high doses can block the kidneys from absorbing uric acids. It is best to consult your doctor before taking aspirin. Your primary care physician will be able to determine the best course of action based on your medical history.

Therapies

Gout toe pain can be relieved by cold therapy. Ice or frozen gel packs have been the preferred method. The only problem with this method is the size and rigidity of the gel packs or ice (hard rigid). These can cause severe pain by simply resting on the inflamed area of the body. A frozen bag of peas is an alternative. Yes, you read that right. Many sufferers of gout have claimed relief from their pain with heat therapy. Research has shown that heat therapy can provide some relief from gout.

Gout symptoms can be relieved by heat therapy. A heating pad that is heated on low heat for short periods of duration has been shown to be effective. Warm moist heat is another option. A towel can be used to reduce pain by being placed under hot water, squeezing the excess water out and then placing it on the affected areas. Gout relief can be achieved by drinking water. This has been proven effective in just a few days. Eight ounces of water eight times per day (8×8) helps lower your blood uric acids and allows your kidneys to absorb and eliminate uric acid via urine.
