What is Diabetic Joint Disease?

Diabetic joint disease is a debilitating form of arthritis that is facilitated by neurological (nerve-related) diseases. Charcot Joint Disease is another name for it. It is named after Jean-Marie Charcot, a French neurologist who noticed a severe pattern in joint destruction in patients suffering from advanced syphilis.
