You will find that different doctors will have different opinions about how to treat and prevent your gout. Doctors are unable to prevent gout entirely and only treat symptoms. I know from personal experience that there is a way to prevent gout. My mother suffered from gout attacks every year and experienced an average of 3-4 per year. What is the secret to preventing gout? Gout prevention is all about what you eat. Your body produces enzymes to help you digest food. There are only three enzymes that can do this. However, if we eat too many unhealthy foods or don’t properly digest food properly, this can lead to a buildup of the by-product. This can make it difficult to eliminate the uric acid. The result is that the excess uric acids builds up in our bloodstreams and soft tissues. To prevent gout, we need things that neutralize or help remove uric acid.

  • Unfiltered water is best. I drink 2 liters of water per day. High ph droplets contain oxygen and minerals which will neutralize any acid your body produces. Water will remove uric acid from your system. To add PH to your water, you can purchase high-PH droplets from your local health food shop. It is tasteless, so you won’t even know it is there.
  • Berries are good for your overall health, but they are especially good for preventing gout. Why? The reason? Berries reduce inflammation and speed up the body’s elimination of excess uric acids. Research has shown that even a few cherries per day can prevent gout.
  • Avoid junk food and eat foods high in fiber. Many doctors recommend that you avoid foods high in purine, such as beans and asparagus. However, these foods can prevent gout by helping to flush out toxins.
  • Gout attacks can be prevented by eating foods that contain vitamin C. Vitamin C, or absorbic acid. Take 1,000 mg of vitamin C per hour during an attack.
  • Exercise- I know you don’t want me to tell you about it. Did you know that exercising will stimulate your body to eliminate toxins. It will also help you get your blood flowing, which will in turn aid in the elimination of uric acids.
