What is the Future of Integrative Medicine?

In March 2000, the Washington Post was quoted by NBC National News about FDA concerns regarding the mixing of supplements with conventional medications. There were concerns that millions of people were taking supplements (also known as herbs, homeopathic, vitamins and minerals, amino acids and enzymes, and some diet products) and experiencing reactions when they mix them with prescribed medications. This phenomenon has been a concern for me for more than 20 years. I know that these reactions are very common with traditional medications. Is this the best way to go? Gout treatment is a good example.

Traditional medicine

This reduces the blood’s reaction to uric acid. A specialized diet can enhance the effectiveness of Allopurinal or Colchicine. It is possible to eliminate certain supplements that may cause an increase in enzymes. These drugs can cause side effects and toxicities if taken in high doses or for a long time. Gout attacks can be caused by a deficiency in certain nutrients. People who take antibiotics may have a higher risk of getting an attack. A person’s diet can also impact the severity and frequency of an attack. There are other reactions to be aware of. Colchicine and Allopurinal have a negative effect on your liver after 6 months. This will make it more difficult for the drugs to work properly. Supplementation, even a regular multivitamin, can also cause adverse reactions to the liver. This is because the liver must work harder to absorb micro-nutrients in the multivitamin. It is difficult to find the right balance between conventional medicine, alternative medicine, and other forms of medicine.

Both schools of thought are not cooperating at the moment, and the public is the one who suffers. This was a serious problem for those who had allergies when Seldane came to be prescribed. Seldane was prescribed to patients without warning. It can be fatal if taken with certain micro-nutrients. This is true in some cases across the United States. The New England Journal of medicine published a 1993 article that estimated that 60 million people had received alternative medical care. The 1998 JAMA issue published a follow-up study. It found that alternative practitioners were visited more frequently than 47 percent in the period 1990-1997 and that alternative medicine services were used at a total of 21 billion dollars annually in 1997.

Let’s understand it

Our small town had a family physician who was able to provide for the needs of the entire community. He was a wonderful man who gave his time, energy, and knowledge freely. He called me for advice a week after being diagnosed with Gastric Carcinoma. I asked him why he called me to ask for my help. He explained that he had seen patients with the same disease die in slow, painful, and miserable deaths, even though they were taking conventional medications. He stated that he knew the traditional protocols and medications didn’t work. He had diagnosed cancers, informed patients, and watched them slowly die. I treated him for nine months. The cancer didn’t progress in that time. It didn’t go away, but it didn’t advance.

I asked him to combine both traditional and integrative treatments, but he refused. He had a friend who was an Oncologist, and this friend convinced him to do some clinical trials at a few Universities. To do this, his family doctor had to stop all of his previous protocols. After waiting for the nutrients to pass his body for a few weeks, they started him on a protocol called PP6 or Thalidomide. He told his friend, “I’ve murdered myself” a few days after receiving the first treatment. Within a matter of weeks, he was completely incapacitated. He died in severe pain and agony five months later. A N-stage cancer patient was being treated by both a conventional and naturopathic physician. The patient was edematized after he was given Prednisone.

Naturopathy

The Naturopath advised the patient to stop taking Prednisone immediately and sent him on a business trip. A few days later, I received a call from the patient stating that his breathing was difficult and that he had fluid in both of his lungs. The massage therapist who called me explained what had happened. I advised her to immediately call the man’s physician. The reduction of Prednisone should not be stopped immediately. Otherwise, the patient could suffer repercussions. The bridge between alternative and traditional medicine cost the patient dearly. There are many things that can be incorporated into both schools of thought as well as treatment.

These stories are the reason why people are turning to other treatment methods. Most do a combination of both, which can be harmful to their health. It is best to take responsibility for your own treatment and health. It is not right for a health care professional to have complete and unfettered control over the life of another person. When deciding to combine different methods of treatment, knowledge is essential. It could make the difference between life and death for a patient.

Magneto Therapy

Magnets have been used for centuries for healing purposes. Preventive use of magnets can make your body stronger and help prevent many diseases. Modern medicine and magnetotherapy complement each other, as they do not exclude one another. The micro-circulation can also be improved. Cells are better supplied oxygen and have more nutrients like vitamins, minerals, proteins. Many processes of regeneration are speeded up and toxins are eliminated faster. A microscopy examination was used to diagnose magnetic jewelry energetic in Germany. Millions of people have experienced the positive effects of magnetotherapy on their health and well-being.

This includes a feeling of renewed energy and reduced stress. Since 2000 BC, magneto therapy was used in China for therapeutic purposes. Legend has it that Queen Cleopatra used to wear a magnetic necklace to preserve her beauty and youth. Paracelsus William Gilbert, a famous swiss physician, was Queen Elizabeth I’s personal physician in the eighteenth Century. He and Franz J. Mesmer successfully treated pain and gout as well as nervous disorders and cramps using magneto therapy. Mozart was so thrilled about Mesmer’s success. This natural therapy has been lost to modern medicine, such as antibiotics and aspirin. It was rediscovered in Japan and Russia in the last 50 year. MIT space research also revealed the consequences of man being free from the Earth’s magnetic field. This happened after the return of Russian cosmonauts.

Conclusion

Scientists discovered that they were also suffering from severe depression and osteoporosis. These phenomena were significantly reduced by the introduction of artificial magnetic field in spacecraft. Magneto therapy has been trusted by five million Americans, including Sir Anthony Hopkins and Bill Clinton. Researchers in the laboratory were able to lift a live frog in a magnetic field of 160,000 Gauss. After this experiment, researchers found no side effects in frogs. 10,000 Gauss. Gauss is the number of lines of magnet force passing through a centimeter square. The FDA (U.S.) has been in operation since 1978. The magnetic field can stimulate blood circulation and improve oxygenation by hemoglobin, even if the magnetic field has a static or mobile magnetic field.
