Why to try Homeopathic Treatments for Gout?

Gout is caused when there is too much uric acid in your body. Usually, it affects men. Uric acid crystals form in the joints and cause acute pain, especially in the big toe. The pain can be so severe that even a bed sheet can not bear the weight of it. Gout is best treated with homeopathy. It reduces uric acid levels, breaks down crystal buildups in the joints, and relieves associated pain.

Take Note

  • Cherries – Rich in Vitamin C. They have been shown to be effective in eliminating toxins from the body. You can eat it whole, as a pie, or in jam, juice, or tea.
  • Mustard powder – Mustard powder (or crushed mustard seeds), can be applied to the affected joints in a paste form to reduce swelling and pain. Mix equal amounts of mustard powder and whole wheat flour. Then, add water to make a thick paste. Use petroleum jelly as a lubricant to apply to the joint. The mustard paste should be spread to cover it completely.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar – ACV neutralizes uric acid, which reduces the possibility of crystals forming. Add 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar and a full glass water to taste. Continue to do so as needed. You can add a tablespoon honey to the mixture if you don’t like the taste of Apple Cider Vinegar. You can also substitute ACV with freshly squeezed lemon zest in the same proportions.
  • Ginger – Helps flush out uric acid. For 30 minutes, soak the affected foot in a foot bath with a third cup of ginger powder. This will cause you to sweat and remove uric acid. Warning: The ginger powder can cause skin irritation. You must clean your feet thoroughly afterward to get rid of any trace of ginger.
  • Water – Avoid drinking excessive amounts of water during a flare up of gout, and sufficient amounts on a regular basis to reduce the chance of a second flare up. Water can help to flush out toxins and dilute uric acid.
  • Bananas are high in phosphorous, which chemically reacts to the uric acids and helps flush them out of the body.

Remember

It is important to prevent gout from returning after an attack. You can do this by making some dietary changes. Red meats and seafood should be limited at all meals. Avoid eating organ meats, especially liver. Avoid alcohol, especially beers and wine. Gout can be prevented. It is better to prevent it than to treat it. Gout treatment with homeopathy is not as effective as preventative measures like exercise, good diet, and overall well-being.
