How To Achieve A Healthy Digestive System?

Many of my friends know I am interested in digestive health. It was not surprising that I was asked what I would do to help ensure a healthy digestive system by a few of my friends this week. Surprised, I was. I have written so many articles about healthy digestive health that it has been hard to stop and think about it holistically. What would you do if you had to create a plan for your own digestive system? I’ve been thinking about this and will share my thoughts below. Let’s first give some context.

A Good Diet

It is becoming more evident that good diet is crucial to good overall health. We all know this, don’t you? What is often forgotten is that healthy eating starts long before you put any food in your mouth. Understanding what foods are healthy and what foods are not is the first step. Let me give you an example. My diet must be low in saturated fats, and low in sugars. I was advised to eat more fish, especially oily fish high in omega 3. My diet should not include dairy foods, eggs, and fatty meat products. Here’s the problem.

Gout

Gout is a condition that I also have. Gout is caused when the body has higher levels of acetic acid than normal. This is due to eating foods high in purines. What foods are high in purines, then? You can eat fish, meat, sweet and extract meats, as well as meats. Dairy, eggs, and other foods that aren’t suitable for one condition are okay for another. It is important that each person plans their diet to fit their individual needs. The next issue is the efficient digestive system. From my perspective, an efficient digestive system is one that extracts nutrients from the food we eat, and disposes of any waste products that we don’t need.

Problems can arise if either of these processes are not working properly. For example, it is important to know how fast our food moves through our system. This is crucial for nutrient absorption as well as constipation. If waste products move slowly through our digestive tract, then more moisture is extracted, which causes the stool to harden. Let’s go back to the question. What would you do? Let me make one important point. I am not a physician and therefore cannot give medical advice. This is my personal opinion, based on my knowledge and may not apply to everyone.

Remember

As I mentioned earlier, everyone is different and should create a plan that suits their individual circumstances. OK. Here’s what I would do. First, I would plan my meals. I would think about what foods are healthy for me, and make sure there are plenty of them in my diet plan. I think of fruits, vegetables, grains, and cereals. I would still eat foods that I love, but are not good for me, but only in moderation. Condensed milk is my favorite condensed milk. I have a sweet tooth. I would then use a colon cleanse to clean out my colon of any accumulated waste products.

This will get rid of any accumulated waste products that could cause problems later. I would then add a trusted probiotic to my diet. Probiotics are beneficial because they increase the good bacteria in the gut. To make sure that my diet plan is correct, I would add a multivitamin daily to my diet. These topics are covered in detail in my other articles.
